The Wedding University 2010

We have been super busy planning for the next Wedding University, and boy, we've got some AMAZING things in store for our attendees! We've also got some fabulous prizes in store, including a honeymoon stay at one of three luxurious Four Seasons Resort, an ipod with music especially suited for weddings, and tea for two at the lovely Crown & Crumpet in Ghiradelli Square.

We are currently having a holiday special. The price to attend The Wedding University has been reduced to $55 per person. Each additional person is $45. After January 15th, the price will be $75 per person, and $50 for each additional person. We hope you will take advantage of this special price and register soon, as seats are limited in order to keep our event intimate.

At The Wedding University, you will learn a lot of valuable information from top experts in their fields to help you make wise decisions as you plan your wedding. In addition, you will get to see and hear about the latest trends in design, flowers, and rentals. Ofcourse, a great event must have exceptional food! The Four Seasons Silicon Valley will be preparing a fabulous menu for attendees to sample in between classes.

Happy Holidays!

Our office will be closed most of next week, in celebration of Christmas. Normally, we'd be closed for two weeks, but we have a very special New Years Wedding this year at The St. Regis. Can't wait to share the beautiful details with all of you! For now, I want to share my favorite winter must-haves....enjoy, and Happy Holidays!

Recent trip to Hong Kong

I love this time of the year....not just because it's the holiday season, but because I get to travel abroad to Asia to spend time with my sister and her family. I just returned from a 3 week trip to Asia, where two weeks were spent in Hong Kong, and one week was spent in Phuket, Thailand. Though traveling with a toddler is always exhausting, we had a ton of fun!

Hong Kong is known for its amazing holiday decorations during this time of the year. Beautiful lighting and designs can be seen everywhere, and it feels super festive no matter where you are! I was super excited to see the design by Preston Bailey at the Landmark in Central, Hong Kong. Sadly, I had left my camera at home that day, but you can check out a few pictures from Preston's blog!

There are always two highlights of my trips to Hong Kong--shopping and eating. For those who have traveled there before, you know exactly what I am talking about! From street vendors to unique boutiques to luxury brands, you could never get tired of the shopping scene there. Same goes for the food, as you can see here below!

My brother in law, a wonderful architect, recently finished a major project in Hong Kong--the brand new W hotel. He took us there for dinner and a tour one evening, and I was awe-inspired by how grand and luxurious this W hotel was. From the hip, chic decor to the impeccable service, I was deeply impressed.

Last, but not least, one of my favorite restaurants from this trip was Wasabisabi inside Times Square in Causeway Bay. I loved the decor of the place, and the asian-fusion menu was awesome! Here are some photos:

Cinderella Bride

I like to remember Toni as my Cinderella bride, because she was so fond of this fairytale. In fact, this fairytale was such a special part of her life that she decided to incorporate it into her wedding ceremony! I've done a lot of Cinderella themed weddings over the years, where brides entered in horse drawn carriages and flower girls carried wands down the aisle. However, Toni had a different idea on how she'd like to be a Cinderella bride. In lieu of a ring bearer, her son was invited to be the 'slipper bearer', and he carried a pillow that held a beautiful pair of shoes on them down the aisle. As soon as Toni made her way to the altar, she sat on an old vintage bench and had her groom slip the 'glass slippers' on her feet....just like Cinderella and her prince!
