I had a magnificent wedding this past weekend! Kathryn and Phil, a couple that I adore and have loved working with, tied the knot at Chaminade in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The weather was perfect-o and it was a beautiful, beautiful day! One of the highlights was getting to work with John and Michonne of Kaemmerling Photography. Prior to this wedding, I have not worked with them but have heard wonderful things about this husband and wife team through the grapevine....from people that I respect greatly.One word says it all-- WOW! John and Michonne were so professional, and so much fun to work with. They were very easy going and everybody loved them but more importantly, everyone loved being in front of their lenses because they make you feel so natural and relaxed.
A unique service that the Kaemmerlings offer is the bridal
portrait session. They take the bride away for an hour to solely shoot beautiful portraits of her. After I saw some of the results of that bridal portrait session, I was just blown away. Every bride deserves to have portraits like that on the wedding day!! John and Michonne truly captured the beauty of our lovely bride Kathryn that day.John created a slideshow to be played at the reception, which had pictures from Kathryn and Phil's childhood and courtship. As a surprise to the couple, John incorporated images from the wedding day as well, so I got to see the INCREDIBLE photos that were taken that morning and afternoon! Though it was only a small preview of the photos that they took throughout the day, everybody was amazed, including me! They have such a great eye for the candid moments, capturing the love, the warmth, and the fun that was present at the wedding.
For this wedding, I had the opportunity to work with a few vendors that I haven't worked with before and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. Wendy Melrose of Fionna Florals did all of the flowers and decor, which turned out to be just stunning! She incorporated huge, lush peonies, chocolate cosmos, roses and hydrangeas that were pretty darn incredible! She also helped design the tabletops, selecting unique Chameleon chairs and flatware from L.A. that were the perfect finishing touches to the luxurious decor in the room.Armando of Get Your Do Up dolled all the ladies up and did a phenomenal job as always, bringing great humor to everybody's morning. Craig Johnson was the DJ and performed so professionally as the MC and musical
director. Peter Rudolfi provided the string trio for the ceremony, and John Sullivan performed a lighthearted and personalized ceremony. Ofcourse, what's a wedding without my buddies from Enhanced Lighting? They did uplighting all around the room, pinspotted all the tables, and projected a beautiful leaf pattern on the dance floor.Another very successful wedding...and a fun one too!
