Hello, and a warm welcome to my blog! I'm Jubilee, founder of Jubilee Lau Events, and yes, this is my real name since birth! I get asked that a lot and I think my parents must have seen that party planning talent in me even as a baby to give me such a fitting name for my future career. Thank you mom and dad!

I started my company in 2003 and am extremely humbled at all the amazing weddings that I have been a part of. My inspiration truly comes from the clients that I work with, for each of their unique stories inspire the personal details that we infuse into every event. I'm always asked what I love most about my job. Beyond the pretty details, I love the people most. I love getting to know our clients, their families, and then seeing everyone come together to celebrate with such joy on the wedding day. The road isn't always smooth and easy, as weddings bring out emotions in people that they themselves may not even be aware of. But it always works out when you put love first, above all else. As the planner, I see all the beauty that comes with weddings...the pretty flowers, the magic of true love, the excitement of party planning. I also see the messiness of family dynamics and unknown territories. But I love it, all of it, because it's real life. And I am grateful that my clients trust me enough to bring me into this monumental time in their lives.

In the last 10 years, I have invested in bringing together the best possible team to produce our weddings, with the same high standards that I have always held, and the same warmth that my clients have appreciated over the years. Today, I continue to oversee all our events on the backend, while my team works closely with each of our clients to plan their unique celebration. I am incredibly proud of my team, as each of them bring an enormous amount of experience and passion to our events.
