We're Featured: Pink Blossom List

I'm a big fan of the uber creative and talented Nancy Liu Chin, so ofcourse I'm also a big fan of her fabulous new blog Pink Blossom List. It's a real simple and clean wedding blog, full of great tips, great finds, and great info. Nancy always tells it like it is, and I just love the genuine tone of her blog.

I was honored to be interviewed by Nancy and featured on her lovely blog. She asked me questions like 'What is something about wedding planning that most people don't realize?' I jumped at the opportunity to share my thoughts! Thank you Nancy!

Love this Wedding Slideshow!

I blogged about Sharon and Lawrence's wedding at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley not too long ago. Today, I received an email from their wonderful photographer Augie Chang, with a link to their wedding slideshow. I must have watched it a dozen times! I see A LOT of wedding slideshows as you can imagine, but what stood out about Augie's was the exceptional job that he did with the storytelling. It has the perfect balance of photos to tell the entire story of the wedding day from beginning to end. I especially loved seeing the nervousness of Sharon right before she walked down the aisle, the way Lawrence looked at her as she was walking down the aisle, and the joy in their faces as they recessed from the church.

When you are interviewing photographers, you should definitely ask yourself if their albums or slideshows tell a good, complete story because that is what you will want as your memories after the wedding!

Thank you Augie!!

Save the Date Video

What's the latest and greatest in the wedding world? I visited Andrew Hsu of Studio MSV yesterday and we had a great time chatting about our businesses. He introduced me to his new concept--creating a Save the Date video and sending it to your families and friends via the internet. Not only does it save you stamps but it'll get you some wows for sure! You can get as creative as you want with Andrew, and really make it personalized.

I know there's something wonderful about receiving a beautiful piece of mail, but you can always do that for your invitation. I always feel that Save the Dates should be something fun, to show your guests that they can expect to have a great time at your wedding. Skip the magnets--they will LOVE seeing your faces in a custom video!
