Late Night Snacks at Weddings

People seem to have unusually large appetites at weddings. Even after a sumptuous 3-4 course dinner, there has never been a problem getting guests to consume more food later in the evening, from the wedding cake to elaborate dessert buffets to late night snacks. I suppose when people are happily celebrating, they want to eat. The best part is, they get to dance the calories off a bit, and then eat some more! That's likely why late night snacks are so popular these days, and always greeted with much enthusiasm at weddings.

We've gotten really creative with late night snacks. For one wedding earlier this year, Paula Le Duc Fine Catering created the cutest mini ramen bowls and mini boba milk tea to pass to guests in the late evening. Everyone loved them. After that, mini ice cream cones were brought out, which guests devoured quickly as well. Anything mini is cute, and guests simply can't get enough of them!

Mini Bah Minhs (traditional Vietnamese sandwiches) are always well received too, and we had them on several wedding menus this year.

Below are some additional ideas for your late night snacks!

Comfort food is also very popular as a late night snack, like these delicious grilled cheese sandwiches with soup shots seen below.

And who can resist a good ole slider after dancing for an hour? Beer shot to go with it, anyone?

For one of our weddings earlier this year, we had a churros cart and an ice cream station during the dancing, and both proved to be very popular with the guests. We've also done popcorn stations, candy carts, and In & Out Burgers as late night snacks. The sky's the limit, so don't be afraid to work with your planner and caterer to come up with something fabulous for your guests!
